MBB or Big 4 corporate finance/deal for PE

Hi, I'm a final year undergrad in Asia (top school in country w/ high gpa). I have CPA designation in my country. Looks like I'll be able to choose between MBB and Big 4 (both are local offices in my home country). MBB position will be management consulting, while the Big 4 will be corporate finance/deal. I am aware that it is an uphill battle to PE starting my career in either of the two.

I plan to go to bschool in the US later and hopefully make the transition to PE either in the US or Asia. I'm inclined to choose MBB for its brand name, but i think the corporate finance experience will help more for pe.

Given that banking is not an option (too late for summer interships), what would be the better choice? Also, although pe is at the top of my list, I want to have as many options as possible later in bschool for all buy-side positions including HF and VC. Would this change the answer to the question?

Thanks.

Definitely agree with this. Big Corp Fin in Asia is really not as established/renowned as it is in Europe or other places, and if you really are leaning to wards Finance a MM IB like Lazard would probably be better? That being said MBB definitely beats big 4 Corp Fin hands down and I strongly urge you not to go to the Big 4 if you have the choice.
