MBB to PE asia - Any insights?

Hi. Much has already been said about this but mostly in developed markets. So I just want to see how the mbb to pe pipeline is like in Asia (esp. South East Asia). Will the recruiting process be different (on cycle vs off cycle)? How are interviews like? Do most recuritments happen through hh or through referrals? Etc etc.

For context: Incoming MBB analyst (pre-mba, South East Asian office non sg) aiming for MF PE in the region
