Hi Analyst 3+ in IB - Cov, just because I'm a bot doesn't mean I don't have feelings...I'm hoping these links are helpful. If not, feel free to throw monkey shit at me...
More suggestions...
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
I will pitch in. My 1st year Associate comp was $140k all in.
Updating for other stats. primaries and co-invests. ~$2B AUM.
Probably makes sense to state AUM of FoF, and whether its Primary only, Secondary, CoInv etc
Updated.
Large FoF ($50bn+ AUM)
Senior Associate working on primaries, secondaries, co-invest.
$300k cash comp (base plus bonus)
$800k carry allocation (expected to start seeing distributions 2-3 years from now)
Curious to see how this compares across the street?
Jeez, this seems really high compared to other guys
Are you based in tier 1 city in the US
Yes NYC. I should add that I am up for VP promote next year.
What are your hours?
Is your compensation typical?
10am to 6pm usually with 1-2 days WFH. Weekends very rare - twice a year maybe. Typical comp for my firm yes.
Dang, you pay for the amount of hours seems crazy. Good for you. Mind sharing which firm or a few similar firms? Curious if you have a sense for top paying FoFs. Also how many years experience do you have?
HarbourVest pays well AFAIK.
When I say 10am to 6pm those are the hours I would be actively working but I am available 24/7 for calls and would answer emails at all hours of the day or night.
Also I have 7 years of experience, no MBA. Just for reference.
$400K USD (base+bonus) - SWF-type place so don't have carry
Any UK-based contributions? My experience is a fraction of what has been shared above.
