Missed Something in PE Model Test
Took model test earlier this week and have not heard back yet. In this case, the firm asked for returns to be highlighted in a box at the bottom. After submitting, I realized I forgot to include one line item that affects MOIC and IRR, albeit by only a little. Due to time crunch… ran out of time to double check the rest of the model. I'm assuming they will still go through the full model and not just look at the boxed answer? If the rest of the model is relatively error-free (hopefully), should this still be ok?
I think you're probably fine. When I check model tests, I usually just look first at the IRR / MoM; if it's in the same ballpark of what I got, I usually don't look too closely at the model. However, if it's more than +/-100bps, I usually look a lot closer and then it's more likely small mistakes become apparent
