Mixed performance review - being immature?

Question is in the title. My work quality is good but i f'ed up on the christmas party and already got told that me being immature is the only thing holding me back right now.

Issue is i'm in my mid/late 20's and all my coworkers are at least in their 40/50s with partners being in late 50s/earlx 60s (lmm) basically most people I work with (internal or external) could be my parents.

Question is how do I come back from this?

Partner recommended me to just shut up since my work quality carries me. Never open up to co-workers (E.g. never tell them what I did on the weekends) and simply consider work to be work and to just come up with generic lies of I get asked any question outside of work. No one really expects any truth when it comes to my free time. Also simply no alcohol during work events (regardless if LP dinners etc). If I thought i had a enjoyable dinner, I did sth wrong.

Apparently some seniors are afraid of letting me go to senior dinners by myself (as they should be I only have 4 yrs of ft experience amyway)

Any advice?

Got shitfaced and made some extreme statements to my partner. (Who cares about money, its all about health, family etc)

I'm not exactly sure what you're really asking. Reading between the lines, it sounds like you don't think you did anything wrong because you're young. If this is how you truly feel, there's no advice we can give here that will help you.

If you're serious and want to avoid these situations, then it sounds like you already know the answer, don't open up about how wasted your got at the rave/clubs, or simply don't drink alcohol, or skip the holiday parties altogether if you can't handle yourself.

We've all seen certain people get way too wasted at these events and it never ends well. The question you need to ask yourself, what's more important your career or having free drinks for night. Again, you may not care if you don't think you have a future there, but that's what you need to weigh.
