MM PE vs EB IB? Post MBA Assoc

I have an offer from an EB IB (LAZ/PJT) and an offer from an MM PE focused on co-investing. Most recent fund raising of PE was $600m. I’m post MBA and ultimately want to end up in PE but wondering if going to EB IB will allow me to recruit for better shops or if I’ll have better opps from the MM PE shop.

Would go with LAZ/PJT. Will definitely open up more doors / allow you to get more looks than the $600mm PE fund would.

I'm an associate at a UMM PE firm. I worked at one of those two banks as an analyst.

Edit: Sorry, I totally missed the post-MBA part. My advice above holds for pre-MBA analysts. If you really want to do PE long-term, then I would go with that offer. Post-MBA associates have been able to break into PE but it is pretty difficult.
