Moving from Blackstone REPE to regular PE
Hey guys,
So I've heard it is almost impossible to go from REPE to normal PE. How about though, moving from Blackstone REPE to regular PE? I'm asking since Blackstone is probably the top name in REPE right now, so was wondering if that would make your chances good, or possibly better than a guy from MS M&A trying to move to PE
Bump
there was a similar post. It is doable but it is going to be very hard and the more you stay in REPE the harder it gets.
Why is this? Is just the nature of the modeling much harder in regular PE vs REPE? What exactly creates the stigma against REPE when trying to transition? Also, quick side question, is the comp along of the chain of BX REPE similar to PE (such as BX PE)?
