Moving PE Shops

Just completed my year at a sweatshop (80 to 100+ hours) a week and I want to move PE shops to get a better raise and position. Thinking about moving to New York, Boston, San Diego. I want to move into a better work life balance as well. Is this possible at a MF, what is the culture like at some of these places? (Stonepeak, Ares, KKR) specifically in Product Management? What should I target? Should I try and pivot into something else?
