Networking Post College

About to start an analyst role at a PE shop in NYC. Of course my main focus is doing the best I can at my job, but I know your network plays a huge role in career growth.

I feel like during college I’ve gone through waves of networking and want to be more consistent post grad.

For those of you in the workforce, how should I approach building a network while working? Is it kosher to consistently be grabbing a coffee with someone most days? Does this just happen naturally if you’re a decent person? Also curious about headhunters, should I be keeping them updated just in case I need/want to make a jump somewhere down the line?

Sorry if this seems trivial, just not a lot of threads on building your network when you’re actually out of college.
