NGP - Dallas

Anyone heard about culture, work hours, etc.? I haven’t found much on this forum on NGP, but they seem to be highly active in both upstream and renewables. Anyone also in the interview process for the Associate role?

Excellent firm. have met a few partners there. Incredibly polished,  yet earnest and down the earth. Chris seems like a great guy to work for. Hours - its energy in Dallas so I'm sure associates get worked, but it didn't come across as a complete sweatshop. Low IP turnover and the firm is run lean, so I would safely guess that people eat very well there.

Ngl associate 1 that seems like an incredibly rosy review of an energy PE firm which, like all energy PE firms, probably suffers from the fact that you don't really have optionality to go elsewhere because the industry has taken such a hit.

Also I'd need to see some recent investments that they have made good money on before getting optimistic. Up until the data center love I feel like natural gas has been the ultimate money losing venture in North America.
