Partners Group vs K1 Investment Management - PLS HELP!

I am trying to get into PE out of undergrad - they are definitely not the best PE firms but I think they are both decent and growing. What are your thoughts on both firms and which one is the better place to start your career at? I heard K1 comp is crazy low but does anyone have recent info on their comp structure?

Located in Europe and Partners Group is pretty well-respected here. Very good trajectory on fundraising. Previous funds are performing well. I know that the 2017 fund had a +20% net IRR in June 2021. Heard that pay used to be below market before but that was recently adjusted so it's no longer an issue. I would assume the fund is less well-known in the US compared to Europe. I might be mistaken, but I am pretty sure they have a rotational program for analysts. As such, you will not have pure-play exposure to corporate PE but also to other parts of the business. I would also think that there's no guarantee you will end up in the corporate PE business after your rotational program.
