PE Associate > MBA > PE VP Track
Is this a common track? I’ve been seeing / hearing about some folks who have done this. Granted these people also went to top B-Schools, so unsure if that played a role. They also did 1-2 yrs of IB prior.
I’ve thought that people typically rejoin PE as a senior associate after B-School and would appreciate some insight on this.
It’s all just title inflation. Ultimately you should see if the comp and carry is in line with market and you have sufficient associate support such that your role is evolving. CDR calls it principal, bx calls it senior associate, Warburg calls it VP. All the same shit
Ah thanks. So would 2 years of MBA not equal 2 years as a Senior Associate? And doing 2 years as as Sr Asc would still put you ahead of your peers doing a MBA (in terms of comp / title)
