PE Interview - Prep

I have an interview with a large cap infra PE fund this week and would appreciate any guidance on how best to optimize my time over the next few days

I’ve met a couple of VPs that I’ve built a good rapport with, and they’ve asked me to meet a couple of senior associates for the first formal interview in the process

I am also working on a live deal with the same team that I’m interviewing for, and its taking up all of my time particularly on the modelling side. I know they are loosely aware of this but don’t want to make excuses / come across as unprepared (don’t believe the specific people I’m meeting are as involved but I could be wrong)

I know I need to brush up on my deal discussion but I’ve had some good experience that I just need to spend time brushing up on to be able to communicate it well. Outside of this, one of the VPs mentioned that he hadn’t assessed technicals in our catch ups so I suspect this one will be focused on it.

For some context, I am from an energy (O&G) IB background so I’ve been trying to cover the obvious areas I’m missing, which is mainly around things like debt, tax (from a fund perspective) and a bit of the industry jargon.

They did acknowledge this and I have compelling arguments for why I want to make the move, but I think the part I would be least confident about is on the technical side.

Any advice on what to expect / how to best focus my limited time?
