PE : Is that a good carrer move?

Hi Everyone,

I am new here and I would like to have your opinion.

I just graduated from a French Business School (non target but top 10 in France). So I am looking for my first full-time contract but it's really difficult to get one in PE in France since I have no experience in this realm. Nevertheless, I have relevant experiences such as Sell-Side Equity Analyst, Buy-Side Equity Analyst, Financial Valuation Analyst and Real Estate Asset Management analyst. 2 years experience overall.

So I changed my carrer path and my strategy and found myself a 6 months internship such as Private Equity Analyst (Growth Equity) in small PE firm (with a good industry knowledge). I didn't start yet.

My question is, do you think I am doing the good thing to break into PE by taking this internship or I am just buying my self time? Do you think that after this internship I will have more opportunities in PE? or nothing will change? Do you have any suggestion?

I am willing to work & network really hard, because PE is what I want to do and what interest me greatly.

Thank you for your feedback.

Kind Regards.
