Oaktree / Ares / LGP are 300-325 first year. Then there is a big drop. Everyone else is ~225 - 250 (includes Aurora, Clearlake, Marlin, Levine Lichetman, Vance Street, Shamrock).
Can confirm above is accurate. If targeting PE in LA, it’s a tight market. getting anything at all should be considered a success. Keep in mind also that oak/ares/apo are still closely tied to their distressed origins, so may be a bit different than your typical vanilla MF buyout experience.
also, analyst programs at ares etc are not like the associate programs and would highly recommend going to banking first to get real training/ experience.

Have friends at both of the firms mentioned (Ares, LGP). First year TC was $325-350k+ (could be higher now with recent pay bumps).
Confirming the above, even with recent pay bumps I think its still $350k max (at least at my firm in LA)
Pay pumps for PE associates? I didnt know they did that
Hey any chance you could PM me so I could ask a few more details about one of these firms?

Clearlake is not paying 225-250k, a buddy of mine goes there and clears 300 would agree with the rest

Is Assoc 1 pay at Crescent Capital LA office in line with Ares, Oaktree etc?
