PE unpaid internship

Just graduated and I’m looking for opportunities in Finance but my only real experience is an extracurricular position in equity research. I have an interview coming for an unpaid 4 month internship in PE. I realize that if I get legitimate work it could be very useful career wise going forward, my only concern is the time cost, I’ve seen many concerns before about unpaid interns being treated like janitors, and the financing costs, which includes commuting and the opportunity cost of finding paid work. Jus for context, I have no work experience in finance, I do have two internships in accounting and only extracurricular experience in Finance in equity research. I had a high GPA and was a TA for finance courses during my undergrad. I personally don’t see this as a make or break situation but the lack of experience in Finance is what’s getting me to heavily consider it. So what’s your opinion on my situation?
