PE v. REPE Comp

I'm an undergrad finance and real estate major looking at opportunities for the next coming summer and the two paths I'm looking at is IB to PE or straight to REPE. I haven't been able to find anything comparing the comp between traditional PE and REPE. I know REPE is typically less hours, but how does pay compare at the top?
