Private Credit Case Study NY (Intern)

Hey guys,

I have a case study coming up for a private credit fund based in NY, one of the larger ones. I'm still in college and just know it's 3 hours to build a model/present.

I know there are other threads on this topic which I looked at, but what should I expect going in and any advice? Also when it comes to private credit specifically, how does someone present returns/recoveries of senior debt in terms of output? Is it just as simple as looking at a typical LBO, debt repayment schedule, figuring out recoveries and mapping out FCCR/leverage/interest coverage ratios and making a recommendation from there?

Any advice would be really appreciated, thank you!
