Private Equity Future Directions

Dear WS community,

As a recent member and aspiring finance professional, I wanted to ask you whether you agreed or not, and what are your thoughts on the future of private equity. In this last months, even years, we have seen changes in investment strategies, deal structuring, sector trends, and the evolving landscape of the industry, but is this sustainable? I've noticed that major funds, the ones with the high amount of resources are the main key players on this market, while middle-small PE firms are less likely to operate big deals, either it is because of their reputation or "X" variables, but the thing is that the main stakeholders are the ones that will probably have a higher stake, even being under  an oligopoly, and smaller firms will be more likely to dissappear in this upcoming years, making more complicated the entrance of new player to the market, thus new opportunities to work in the sector.

Let me know your thoughts on this, and feel free to disagree ;)
