Has anyone brought their dual monitor setup when traveling for work... like checking it at baggage claim. I need to travel for a deal in two weeks.
I used to use this portable monitor but it's been hellish to work on it when sleep deprived / working out of a hotel room / during the most time-sensitive periods of a deal

Are you staying at a nice hotel or one that sees a lot of convention / business travelers? May be worth giving them a call beforehand to see if they'd be able to set up some screens in your room. It's a long shot but i think worth a phone call in the small chance you're able to avoid having to ship your own monitors.

we still haven't confirmed the travel dates, but it'll probably be some random shithole (not sure which city we'll be going to yet either, they've been going back and forth on this)

Have you considered buying an 12.9 iPad? It's expensive, but you can use it as an external display even with Windows...
i got a portable second monitor actually that i had previously been using, just trying to emulate an office setup in my hotel room as i prepare for a sleep deprived 2 wks
Get a large suitcase and a lot of bubble wrap. Tape styrofoam around the suitcase frame and especially around each screen for support to make sure it doesn't move if suitcase gets thrown.
