bump.. curious to know more here
Know the firm has a strong reputation for doing good deals and having S tier talent. Unfortunately, I’ve also heard through the grapevine they have high associate churn and some culture issues. Nonetheless, still a good buyout shop.
I can confirm there’s high associate turnover — heard some supervisors have no respect for them.
Lmaoooooo congrats on Quilvest dog they are nowhere near “S tier talent”
A cursory LinkedIn search reveals these guys come from strong targets, bulge brackets (MS, JPM, GS) and EBs (EVR, PJT, PWP) so idk what you’re talking about
Heard through the grapevine the head of the this group left and unsure if they eventually replaced him, can also echo associate turn but understand they have decent returns
Any more detail on head leaving?
Heads he was displeased with the group's trajectory and lack of cohesion with French HQ
Former employee here using a throw away but I’ll keep this brief just not to dox myself:
They consistently churn second year associates and typically fire them just before their bonus hits
The head of the direct group left last year to join another similar private equity strategy and he was not replaced
US office has not deployed capital since Q1 2024
Total comp increase for associates is less than 5%
Paris is the “lead” office
