RE Investment Management Acquisitions --> Infrastructure PE

Would this be a reasonable jump or would it require an MBA? i'll concede that my knowledge of the Infra world is rather limited but understand there is some overlap in required skills/philosophies. Not that it matters but I'm bringing this Q to WSO because RE is saturated. I'm contemplating rebranding to something more niche. Any feedback would be cool.
