Real Estate Private Credit vs. Real Estate PE (Canada)

Thoughts on building out long term careers. I have experience in both, but am looking to solidify the direction I want to take my career. Wondering if its worth to commit to equity early now in my career (analyst level)

REPC pros:
Lifestyle, WLB, Highest earning potential (commissions), paid in corp (income tax efficiencies)

REPC cons:
Limited scope of work, niched, not extremely intellectually stimulating

REPE pros:
Best experience in real estate (imo), bit more prestiguous

REPE cons:
Start off with lower pay (base + commission, typical corporate structure), WLB hit,

Is it worth it to stick in equity for the long run on an investments team for solely for the experience? I truly value WLB, but I also want to learn a lot and be one of the best, and I'm not sure if REPC would provide that experience for me. My fear is that if I stick with REPC early, it would be much harder to make a lateral move to equity later on. But at the same time, a career in credit can be very fruitful and provide the fastest pathway to eventual RE ownership + career freedom and WLB.
