Real Estate PE Associate Market Comp opinions
Hey guys, trying to get a sense of where people think market is for real estate PE associates, 3-5 years of experience.
My view is ~$375-400k all-in cash comp in NYC/LA/SF.
Would appreciate any thoughts or recent headhunter conversations.
You're not going to get there for most REPE shops, outside of the tippy top of the market
Large cap PERE players like Blackstone, Brookfield, Starwood, KKR, Apollo, etc. should pay in that range.
Would that apply to IB analysts after 2 years on the job?
IMO 5+ years experience you might be in that range, but if you've only got 3 you're likely going to be sub 300k all-in unless you're in one of the top 10 shops. Exclusive for NYC. I know SF pays like shit and LA might be a 10%-20% haircut
To clarify I work at one of the peer group mentioned above (Bx, Brookfield, Starwood, KKR, Apollo, Ares, Cerberus, etc.) and trying to get data from others in order to substantiate my feelings about upcoming bonus talks lol
I believe we will be around $350k for associate 1/2 but i believe market is higher.
Market is definitely not higher than 350 for as1.
