searchone recruiter intro call
has anyone spoken with them before? some recruiter reached out asking if I was interested in buyside roles but since I'm already on the buyside not sure what they're going to speak about.. usually I hear that these conversations are for IB analysts looking to make a move so they speak about their deals, etc.
If you’ve never spoken to them ( which is kinda odd if you’re at a HF since them and dynamics do the lions share of HF recruiting for juniors) they probably just want to get to know you better. It won’t be evaluative, but obviously don’t sound like and idiot or come across as rude/arrogant

If you’re a 2nd year or earlier you may treat it more like an evaluative call and they may ask you some questions to see how sharp you are generally. This is much more the case if you’re on the sellside though. Nothing to worry about. If you happen to be at Silver Point out of UG, they’ll love you haha, but probably wouldn’t work with you.
Recruiters still want to get to know you, hear about your background, what you do at your current role, and your interests going forward to see if you're a fit for any of their mandates.
