silver lake exits
why do the exits out of silver lake, either to b school or other funds, not seem that strong? seems surprising given that its a mf that has put up solid returns over its last few funds

Not sure what exits you’re referring to. They’re generally very strong from Silver Lake.
SLP is the exit op
Until you get forced out or hate the culture enough to leave
A lot at HFs like Coatue/Tiger. HF exits are on par with Apollo, which just goes to show how strong it is.
What’s your source on this? A quick linkedin search seems to suggest that Apollo/BX are much, much more prevalent at Tiger cubs
Agreed. Never seen a slp associate there
I am friends with 5 people who worked at SLP as pre-MBA associates.
All went to HBS/GSB. All are at very good firms.
Well congrats on the cool friends!
Was there a common reason why no one returned to SLP post-MBA? (eg weren’t given an offer, disliked culture, etc)
My friend exited to Goldman jersey city office. You might be able to squeak out a middle office role somewhere but you can kiss your FO dreams goodbye having that on your resume. just my .02
Wow people- sarcasm meter seriously broken
can anyone speak to if there are any noticeable differences, either in culture, exits, etc. between the MP and NYC offices?
Silver Lake is the exit. A top 3 private equity fund currently.
SL is a good firm & among the top three tech investors with vista/thoma but I wouldn't put them top three overall
