Sophomore PE UMM Fund Internship?
Recently received an offer at a PE fund for a sophomore year internship. Their latest flagship fund raised $10-15B and they're growing pretty fast, but its not really an everyday brand name like Bain Cap or something, They manage $30-40B+ in total. I don't want to give away more specifics but is this an opportunity I should take? I've heard the experience is great, you learn a lot, and it's a great team but not sure how much brand name matters for sophomore PE.
This is a no-brainer. Yes you should absolutely take it. If they have 30-40B its definitely known in the Finance world.
Any PE shop with a fund over $10B is known by every bank on the street. Take the internship, grind hard this summer to either get a return offer for junior summer or good recs from the partners to their banking connections.
Is this a PE firm or a Fund of Funds ?
