They're exaggerating about how long they've been around, having headhunters report their fund size as more than double their actual AUM, inflate their returns & very likely their carry #s...& I'm sure there's more behind the smoke and mirrors

 

In the current environment and with their sector focus and fund size, they could very easily lose their shirt on fund 1. If that happens (highly likely, in my opinion tech funds are in for a ridiculous re-rating), they will never raise again. Have experienced something similar myself. Now is not the time to join unestablished managers

 

Funds started around this time in this sector are generally good to avoid

 

Highly doubt there would be anywhere near that much carry. They're clearly overstaffed for the # of deals they've done, which isn't many - ironic considering they can't even keep a lean team themselves, yet they need to tell companies to trim down theirs. This comment section is basically pointing out red flag after red flag lol
