Stripes Group - NY

Interested in learning about this firm and if anyone has insight. Understand they are an earlier stage GE firm focusing on consumer and tech.

How are the analyst and associate programs? How many years of IB would you have to complete to join as an associate? Is it a primarily sourcing role? How is their upward mobility? How have they been performing / what’s their reputation like on the street? Do they recruit on-cycle? Thank you!

They do OCR at a few schools (tend to take a lot of Stanford/Wharton kids). Outside of OCR you can probably break in through networking, as GE shops typically like hustle., or probably through the typical 2 years of IB. Day-to-day work at the analyst (and probably the associate) level involves a lot of sourcing (you can find job descriptions online and they really emphasize that). They are a pretty solid growth equity player, not really at the GA/Insight tier but have made a few good investments (Grubhub, Udemy, Upwork).
