"Take a look at this CIM" - how long should it take?
Hi guys:
When a senior person at a fund tells an associate to "take a look at this CIM and get started on the model" - how much time is usually available to complete that , and what are the expected output please?
Thank you

bump!
Seems like a logical question you should be asking your peers. Different firms have different expectations
this. some CIMs are already vetted while some are not. but to answer your question... 30 seconds to a day.
Get started on a model means to me have a high level LBO done off of the cim in an hour to two.
Almost always a high level first look model like this is built off a firm template and also associated with some kind of a 1-2 page write up. All in should take 1-3 hours (depending on how new you are).
