Target Company Business Plan
Question for the PE guys here... are you presented with a business plan from management when you are doing due diligence on a company? If so, are they as formal as they would be for a start-up, or similar when they are first seeking financing? Lastly, any examples?
Not typically a "business plan" per se. But way before DD you want to understand management's view of the market, historical and projected financials, value proposition, growth strategies, background of team, etc.
In any sizeable deal (EV>50m) with sell side advisers you should have a full business plan with organic growth, required investments, operational excellence initiatives, etc.. Apart from legal/tax stuff, that is what you want to do diligence on, see if it makes sense and if you see additional upside.
Hey! Did you manage to establish your company?
Hey there. Thanks for the thread
