Thesis Generation and Deal Sourcing
I work on the investments team at a LMM PE firm that has a somewhat unique model where operating partners are coming up with theses and sourcing deals. Are associates at typical LMM or MM firms helping develop industry theses and trying to source deals? I'm wondering if this is a skill set I need to start developing if I want to keep advancing in PE. Any good podcasts or resources on thesis generation in particular?
