Thoughts on Miami PE?

Considering moving to Miami for PE and looking into a couple places. Does anyone have any insight / experience working with the main players down there? Thinking of HIG/GTCR/Sun/Comvest/ any one else I’m missing

GTCR & Comvest are both in West Palm -totally different vibe than Miami

Have had friends work at all but GTCR:

- HIG - extremely sweaty, hard culture

- Comvest - sleepy, have done well in the past but aren’t really growing as older partners taking chips off the table

- Sun - strong returns, but not really able to grow beyond where they are given the size constraints of their strategy
