Thoughts on Roark Capital
Hey all, current sophomore at Stern/Michigan/UVA/Notre Dame. I'm interested in PE, but probably not into the MF route for the long-term. As more PE firms are fostering analyst programs, I came across Roark Capital, which recruits at my school. The firm seems to have grown quickly, but there isn't too much info on WSO.If anyone working in IB/PE can shed some light on how they're currently perceived in the industry (culture, exits to other UMM/MM funds, b-school placement), would really appreciate it
Tough culture (had a friend 2-3 years above me that went through their program), I've seen analysts from 1-2 analysts from Roark go to UMM/MF as associates.
We play in the consumer space and they're well respected retail (i.e., franchises) investors.

Really interested in them as well...looks like they have an analyst program hiring out of undergrad. Haven't really run across any other PE firms working with such big names in consumer. Do they place as well with UMM/MF PE as would a strong BB/EB analyst? Have they risen to UMM level with $33B AUM?
