Tier 2/3 Consulting to PE Project Manager

Hey guys,

So I’ve been at a tier 2/3 consulting firm for about 2 years now and was reached out to by a HH to discuss a role with a MM PE fund for a project manager position.

It sounds like there would be a decent amount of traveling involved for this role. I’m not sure what to really think as I come from more of a tech consulting background.

The compensation, base, is about 40% higher than what i’m currently making. Not sure about bonus, he said around 20% of base but that seems low to me for PE.

What should I expect? I’m

honestly worried to leave my laid back tech consulting job and take on so much responsibility that I may not perform as expected or even laid off.

Should this be a concern? I’m a hard worker but from what I’ve read PE is 12 hour days M-F with weekends partially off. What do you guys think? And help would be appreciated!
