Typical Carry split: Management vs Investing Team

Hey WSO,

Had a quick question for those with carry. I work for a special sits credit / structured equity fund and was just allocated my first point of carry and noticed on the carry statement that the management team (CIO, and founding IC members) take 75% of the carry pool and the rest of the investment team (MD'sthrough Senior Associates), are allocated 25% of the carry. Is this a typical arrangement? Our comp is already lighter than market by about 25%.

Thanks.
