Valuing Companies - How to value a late-stage venture
I'm trying to figure out how to value a late-stage venture with an IPO in 6-12 months. They already did a valuation, but it seems off by a lot. Wondering if anyone here has an idea of some resources (online preferably) for putting together a decent valuation.
Do you have any idea how incredibly vague your question is and how you appear to be in no position to second guess the group's valuation given the fact that you are looking for "online resources" (whatever the F that means). Just build a DCF and project out future earnings and level set against its public peers. If there aren't any true comps then at least consider the industry drivers and relevant multiples to check the existing valuation.
What leads you to believe that the valuation is off "by a lot"?
