VBA/Macros for IB/PE

Hi guys, the title basically explains it all. I'm working through the BIWS excel course to try to sharpen up before the summer and the last module is VBA/Macros/User Defined Functions. I was wondering if this is even worth completing or if my time is better spent doing another BIWS course like financial modeling. Most of the threads on WSO for VBA and Macros are old and I wanted to get a newer perspective since most of the threads came from before the latest iteration of excel.

Additionally, if there are any macros that you all use if you could paste them and discuss what they do that would be awesome. Thanks!

No. Your time will be better spent on getting smart on finance, unless you are going into project finance. Which it sounds like you are not. Macros are nice. I use ones that I wrote every day, but I also have two degrees in computer science so jumping into VBA is like a break for me. If you are interested then sure, spend some time down the road. But I'd even encourage you to learn how to do some basic scripting in python before messing around with VBA.
