Views on Infravia?
they're on a hiring spree following fundraising (new fund targeting 7-8bn). Any views on the recruitment process, as well as comp (for Investment Manager) and culture?

Hey !
It goes without saying that it's a very french oriented culture. They would tell you that you don't need to speak french and ICs are in English but the reality is slightly different. Otherwise, culture is pretty good with everyone in the trenches working towards the same goal.
Base is around €130-140k for an investment manager with c. 100% bonus. Carry scheme is probably the best I have seen in the infra industry. If I remember correctly, you need to invest up to 2x your base salary and the company provides the loan collateralised on your allocation.
Past performance has been incredible with top quartile (above 20%+ on all vintage) but question mark whether this is sustainable when you get to funds of this size.
Bottom line, if you want to go to Paris in an infra fund, InfraVia is in my opinion the best choice versus an Antin.
Hope the above helps!
Thank you, very helpful! Any insight on the recruitment process?
no mention of Ardian? Do you see Antin and Infravia as a cut above?
Can you provide details on the carry? Assume you entirely finance it with debt for 2x your salary, how much would you get in bps - 70bps? Are you asked to reinvest your bonus?
Bumping this, got reached out to and am curious about their culture. It’s a big pay cut post-tax for me, but if the hours are good it may make sense
Heard hours are not “good” but not as bad as Antin. Carry is great but you don’t really see anything in the first 7-8 years so long term commitment.
Thanks, appreciated!
Would you have anymore detail? Not expecting a 9-5 but wondering if not good is closer to 60 hours a week or 80 hours a week, at the snr ASO / VP level at least.
Bumping this thread. Any views on career progression there? From a LinkedIn search, Investment Manager is the most junior role? Is it Associate or VP equivalent?
I am also interested on what the more junior roles are (if there are any?)
