Virtual On-Cycle 2022 Recruiting

What would a virtual on-cycle recruiting season look like (hypothetically)?

Has anyone in PE heard from their firm regarding this year's process?

If virtual, how would that impact the types of questions candidates receive?

Also, wouldn't it impact the fairness / level-playing-field (or any pretense thereof) for candidates? E.g. some people will have solid computers and desktops, clean and quiet setting, etc. and others won't...

Any other thoughts on potential impact on the process?

I'd bet my money on PE firms holding on-cycle virtually this year or more firms waiting until off-cycle. Even if they CAN hold on-cycle in-person, it only takes one sick kid to infect the whole room. Not only is that a bad look in the media but also it is a real threat to the investment professionals themselves.

The risk of in-person on-cycle is not worth the reward from the firms' perspective.
