I went through the interview process last year (got the offer but decided to go with a strong banking group instead). It was 70%+ behavioral / fit (really wanted to hear why tech PE and not growth equity or HF). If you're looking for prep resources, I used Overlevered and basically all of the questions on there I was asked. Networking was important for me and at the end of the day it seemed like a fit decision vs. choosing applicants based on best best technical skills

 

think you mean you get techs only if you’re non-diversity and not nepo … definitely a mix of both in all past analyst / associate classes, and you can kinda tell tell who’s who just on a quick linkedin check most of the time ….

incompetency isn’t always a bad thing, means fat is easier to cut and promotions are pretty standard  

 

Was that for 2024 internships? Would 2026 recruiting be this spring or next fall? I reached out to an MD in client relations and he said we should connect towards the end of this school year which will still give us plenty of time for 2026 recruiting which confused me.
