For an analyst position --
It was significantly more technical than any IB interview I've had, so definitely have a good grasp on your technicals. And then there were also some brain teasers, one I remember is the classic "You have 50 white marbles, 50 black marbles, and two jars. How do you group them to maximize your chance of picking white?"
Curious for the last one because I like brain teasers. Is it something like 1 white marble in one jar, and 49 white / 50 black in the other jar?
Or do the jars only fit 50 marbles each and you have to allocate accordingly? For which wouldn't the answer be something like 50 white in one jar and 50 black in the other to guarantee one is white? I think it depends on your risk aversion since the expected return would be the same but the variance wouldn't be.
