What internal operating system does your PE firm use?

I work at a LMM fund that manages all of our investments/portfolio companies using only email, Microsoft excel, and a lot of brute force from the juniors. I come from a large commercial banking background where we had enterprise systems that managed/housed all of the portfolio paperwork/accounting/admin work/ etc. for us. I am finding it hard to do be successful at my core job function of analyzing deal opportunities because I spend 80% of my time now chasing files and doing very manual admin work because we have no systems or processes to manage anything. The partners don’t seem to care or understand how inefficient it is.

Does anyone else in the LMM space have this problem? For those who don’t, what systems do you use to manage all of your investments? ERP, CRM, etc.

Thanks for all the responses everyone.

Does anyone know a ballpark number for DealCloud pricing?
