When to ask h1b sponsorship question
Hi, everyone. It's my first post. A PE shop will do campus recruiting in Aug. I'm on F1 visa with 3 year OPT. I doubt they require US work authorization. I've create some conncections with ppl there. I wonder whether I should disclose my visa status or when to ask or not to ask until the final stage? Any suggestion? Thank you so much.
It's a deal breaker so disclose asap to avoid burning time.
They will post the application on Handshake in Aug. By then I will know whether they require US work authorization bc there is a section showing that. Whether you think I need to contact ppl there now and ask them about my eligibility?
Like what the previous the poster said - you should ask as soon as you can because it's usually a go or no go type of issues for them. It's not a complex question and answer so just get it out of the way so you can focus on finding a place that does sponsor.

Is it possible for a company to have a flexible sponsorship policy? If you are an exceptional candidate, will they sponsor you although their original stance is no?
