I turned down an offer with them recently. Was for a principal role on their gp coverage team. Effectively it was glorified relationship management.
Bad culture, bad people, bad returns.
What was comp like at that level?
Around CAD 350 base, 100% bonus allocation, 50 bps carry.
The carry was too low for me to be interested and I think their strategy isn't very appealing, regardless of how much money they raise.
What was the interview process like?
Do they have any relationship with Whitehorse Capital, the direct lending arm of H.I.G.?

To set the record straight, she resigned and was head of legal, not on the deal team
There was a partner with the investment team awhile back that shortly after they were promoted, was excluded from the team page. I believe this person has another role now after some time, but was always curious if there’s a story there cause they seemed like they got promoted quickly before departure.
What is Analyst comp here, base and bonus?
All-in is above 200k for An1. Highest paying shop in Toronto for analysts, but consequently also very sweaty.
Do you happen to know if this applies to the 'strategic management' area of the firm as well?
Is this still the case as of recent? Noticed performance trailing down, did all-in go down as well?
