Hey all, curious if anyone has moved over to an office in another country after starting with their group in the U.S? Looking to get into a PE/GE platform with a global presence after banking and would love to spend some time in Europe/Asia, even if just for 6 months at a time.

Two options are to join a global platform and transfer after 1-2 years (saw a friend at TPG do this) or join a firm that sponsors Americans (know someone who got a solid UMM/MM as an American with no connection to London through walker hamill, heard great great things)
Where did your friend end up going and did they return to the states after? If so, how long were they gone for? Also curious if they were in an English-speaking role or knew other languages?
