3 jobs in a row that are less than 1 year. Which one to take out?
The first job I was at for 7 months. It is a loan asset management job but then got poached for a debt capital markets job screening and underwriting deals. I absolutely hated it but took it for a 40% pay raise. I stayed for 5 months.
Now I am back in debt asset management and enjoy it a lot more. I’ve been here for 6 months now but want to leave after a year or so as it is not challenging at all. I want to be an equity asset manager.
I know the obvious choice to take out would be the capital markets job since it’s only 5 months and also not as relevant to asset management but feel that the experience was more valuable and looks good on resume
Was the first job right out of school? If so, then that is the one to drop. You could easily of graduated and taken some time off before finding work and that wouldnt be weird. 5 random months off in the middle of work history is weird.
No it was my second. My first one was in unrelated finance. I there for 1.5 years
I'd say keep any real estate related experience on your resume. I think the rule is after 5 years you should take it off - thoughts?
I'm older, but I have 4 jobs on my current resume covering ~12 years. I probably am established enough to go to 2 pages if I wanted, but I try and keep a tight 1 page resume.
