Acquisitions in Europe to REPE in New York

Hey all,

My midterm to long term goal is to break into Real Estate PE in New York. My educational background is pretty international with great schools in Germany, the US and UK on my resume. After my masters I started working for one of the largest German banks in their acquisitions team. Focus is europe, but we do shop around in the states and Asia as well. I want to do this for two years and then move to New York (love the city). Do you think a lateral is possible or should I plan on getting an MBA or Master in Real Estate.

Interested to hear some thoughts. Oh by the way I do have a US passport so there is no Visa issue.
