Am I being ghosted?
I had a phone screening for an asset management position last week Monday at Nuveen. Screener said she'd like to get me an interview with the leadership since my experience is relevant and would be a good fit.I haven't heard back since even though she said she would wrap up screenings hopefully by Wednesday (last week). It is not monday.Am I being ghosted now ?
If the screeners initials are K.L., then no you aren't being ghosted. If the guy's name is Mark, then you are.
Just relax, it is a big company, it is a slow process. I would say you could check back in on Wednesday or next week Mon/Tuesday.
So interesting why you chose those 2 when there are so many. The one who called me initials started with a C.
I'd give it some time, these things sometimes take a bit longer. You know you're getting ghosted when they say they'll meet you for coffee, you show and they don't. You then follow up multiple times and never hear from them again.
She is trying to get you on leadership's calendar. Interviewing people isn't top of their to-do list unless you are being hired to put out some fires/ interviewing for a senior role. Give it until later this week before you check in.
So I told her during the interview that I was in final rounds with another company. I had a final round interview last week and emailed her about it because she requested me to keep her updated. Did I do the right thing? She didn’t respond to the email.
If she is sold on you, she will try harder to get you on leadership's calendar. Anecdotally, I know of two people who had interviewed with Nuveen last year (different roles) and they did say it was a slow process.
Worked here before, interview process was slow as shit.. thought I was being ghosted but ends up I got the offer. HR sucks, be patient
Yeah it does seem quite slow. They reached out to me like 3 weeks after I applied.
How long after the phone screen did they reach out to you again?
~6 weeks but this was almost 3 years ago so I’m not 100% sure
