Anyone know anything about Northmarq Capital?
Hey all can anyone shed any light on Northmarq Capital (Analyst)? I believe they’re a debt and equity shop. From reading around it seems like the culture/pay their is great. Can anyone else speak upon? As well as exit ops?
Main business is debt brokerage, although recently they have appeared to be making a push on their institutional sales group. They just opened an LA office.
Interested as well (especially Houston office)
One of their biggest revenue drivers is also loan servicing but they do debt/equity/agency as well. Know a few ppl who work there and they love it. Laid back culture, very pro employee. Had a few phone interviews that didn't lead to offer but everyone I spoke with was super chill and informational.
Company has a cool history, I think, if you research it's beginning.
Good company to work with - seems to fly under the radar.

I think they've been around for a while, but have been making a major push the past few years to grow.
They do Investment Sales and Debt and Equity, seems like they're trying to be the next HFF.

Anyone have any idea of exit ops?
I mean, it's a smaller boutique investment firm, you'd probably get poached by a client or competitor. Probably too market specific at this point to give good examples of it happening though.
It's a typical middle tier Debt/Equity shop focusing primarily on $3MM-$50MM deals and a slight bias to multifamily.
Exit Ops depend heavily on team and market (some teams/offices focus more on equity and construction while others focus more on traditional debt deals). However, since it's a nationally recognizable shop, typical exit ops include Asset Management, REPE, Development and other CREF roles (such as Debt funds, Life cos etc.)
Debt brokerage mostly
I know three people who work in the SF office. Don’t know the firm as a whole, but those individuals I think are great people. Debt brokerage. Been successful helping owners with cash out refi’s and acquisition financing.
Exit options, I think is open ended, meaning I would hire someone from that firm with strong abilities. They have a good reputation in the Bay Area.
Reviving an old thread here. Does anyone have any info on the NYC office? They seem to have a larger presence in the Midwest. Curious as to deal flow/culture/comp/reputation. Any info would be appreciated.
Interviewed for their NYC office on two separate occasions. Overall, nice and laid back group. Questionable deal flow but they have a good rep nationally. More middle market space. Comp was around 65-70K
Their HR head (Maria?)who pretty much does everything, is terrible and does not respond to any follow ups after numerous interviews.
